Common Messages Encountered During Installation

1. After your system reads the installation files you must respond to two messages to begin the installation:

  • The first message will state: "Welcome to the I Will Pass! installation program. Setup cannot install system files or update shared files if they are in use. Before proceeding, we recommend that you close any applications you may be running." Because step one of the instructions is to close all other programs, this should not be necessary. Select "OK" if you closed all other programs. IF YOU ARE UNSURE whether all other applications are closed, select Exit Setup, close other applications and start over at step one of the instructions.

  • The second message will state: "Begin installation by clicking the button below." Select the large button on the upper left side of the message box with a picture of a computer monitor.

2. You may encounter additional messages during program installation. Here are two common messages and the appropriate response:

  • You may receive a message stating "Version Conflict: A file being copied is not newer than the file currently on your system. It is recommended that you keep your existing file. Do you want to keep this file?" Select "Yes."
  • You may be asked to reboot. If so, perform reboot and begin the installation process again at step one. This will not occur more than once. If you are not prompted to reboot go to the next step.
