As indicated on The American College's website:
"Effective January 1, 2006, all students of The American College must complete all courses in a chosen designation or other program of The College within five years from that date or from the date of the student's matriculation and registration for the first course in the College program under consideration for application of this policy, whichever is later, unless the College program chosen by the student contains a shorter completion rule in which case the shorter rule will apply to that program. In the event a student fails to complete all required and elective courses necessary to complete the student's program within the five year period described, courses taken more than five years prior to application of this policy must be re-taken by the student in order to maintain credit for that course toward completion of a College program.
Students who matriculated prior to 1/1/2006, will have a five-year period from the effective date of this policy to complete all outstanding program requirements, regardless of when courses that have been completed as of the effective date of this policy were in fact completed. It is strongly recommended that those students who have completed courses in their programs more than five years prior to the effective date of this policy engage voluntarily in continuing education in the areas that have been completed while completing their programs.
This policy will affect only courses in which students are currently enrolled or enroll in on or after the effective date."
