The CLU® requirements listed below reflect the revised CLU® curriculum adopted in March 2005.  Please contact The American College’s Office of Student Services at 888-263-7265 if you have any questions about the former course requirements or to determine which requirements apply to you.

You must meet experience requirements and ethical standards. Three years of business experience immediately preceding the date of use of the designation are required. An undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited educational institution qualifies as one year of business experience. When using formal education as qualifying experience, the remaining two years must immediately precede the date of the award. 

New TAC Policy:  Effective January 1, 2006, all students of The American College must complete all courses in a chosen designation or other program of The College within five (5) years from that date or from the date of the student's matriculation and registration for the first course in the College program. CLU® national exams are given throughout the year at local testing centers by The American College.  Exam fees will apply.
