You must meet experience requirements
and ethical standards. Three years of business experience
immediately preceding the date of use of the designation
are required. An undergraduate or graduate degree from an
accredited educational institution qualifies as one year
of business experience. When using formal education as qualifying
experience, the remaining two years must immediately precede
the date of the award.
TAC Policy: Effective
January 1, 2006, all students of The American College must
complete all courses in a chosen designation or other
program of The College within five (5) years from that
date or from the date of the student's matriculation and
registration for the first course in the College program.

Fundamentals of Insurance Planning*

insurance in the context of financial planning. The
insurance topics of legal principles, regulation,
industry operations and risk management are presented,

for Retirement**

course covers important areas in the senior segment of
today’s financial planning marketplace including
public and private sources of retirement income (Social
Security and pension plans), needs analysis, asset
allocation strategies, and retirement income planning
using pensions and annuities. In addition, the course
discusses such financial issues facing seniors as
housing, insurance, and estate planning. Mastering the
Terms to Know for each assignment will give students the

testing centers by The American College. Exam fees
will apply.
Format:
- 2 hours in length
- 100 objective questions
(332 = 50 objective questions)
