Live Review Offerings

Kaplan Financial's Live Review Course is offered in traditional and virtual classrooms, meeting the diverse needs of candidates. Select the program that compliments your schedule and learning style.  Recommended pre-study time is 200 hours for a total of approximately 250 hours with the Live Review.  All 101 topics set forth by CFP Board are covered.

Five-Day Review

This exam preparation course is an intensive program consisting of 38 hours of instruction conducted over Wednesdays through Sundays.  Cost is $900 plus textbooks for IA candidates...normally $925.

Six-Day Review
This exam preparation course is an intensive program consisting of 48 hours of instruction conducted over two (non consecutive) weekends, Friday through Sunday.  Cost is $900 plus textbooks for IA candidates... normally $990.

Virtual Classroom Review
Our Virtual Review is an instructor-led, Web-based program that provides all the benefits of a classroom review from the convenience of the learner's home or office. This program format is a great option for those who have access to the Web and prefer not to incur the expense of travel.  It is an intensive program consisting of 48 hours of instruction conducted over 17, three-hour sessions held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Learners receive real-time interaction with the instructor and students, and access to a recorded playback option.  Playbacks remain active until the first day of the CFP® Certification Examination.  Cost: $900 plus textbooks.

Online Review Course
This self-study option proceeds through the topics listed by the CFP Board, beginning with a detailed outline of each topic to highlight key aspects of the material and concluding with review questions that will help you assess your mastery of each topic. The course also includes a 300-item simulation that can be used to prepare for the actual examination.  Cost: $625 per student.  Call 866-367-2204 for more information.

How to Qualify for the CFP® Certification Examination

To earn CFP® Certification, candidates must first qualify to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination.  The three most common methods to qualify are:

  1. CFP Board-Registered programs such as the Accelerated Certificate in Financial Planning!  Contact Insurance Achievement at 800-258-2432 to enroll in your program; or
  2. Challenge Status by already holding either the ChFC®, CLU®, CFA or CPA designation; be a licensed attorney; or have a PhD (Business or Economics) or DBA from an accredited US college or university; or
  3. Transcript Review
