You must meet experience requirements and ethical standards. Three years of business experience immediately preceding the date of use of the designation are required. An undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited educational institution qualifies as one year of business experience. When using formal education as qualifying experience, the remaining two years must immediately precede the date of the award. 

New TAC Policy:  Effective January 1, 2006, all students of The American College must complete all courses in a chosen designation or other program of The College within five (5) years from that date or from the date of the student's matriculation and registration for the first course in the College program. 330  Fundamentals of Estate Planning

Aspects of estate and gift tax planning, including the nature, valuation, transfer administration and taxation of property are covered in this course, which includes an emphasis on a basic understanding of the unified estate and gift tax system.

350  Understanding the Older Client
Difficulty Level . . . 8
A comprehensive study of important issues faced by clients throughout the aging process, to prepare financial advisors to meet the unique needs of aging individuals.  An economic, historical, demographic, political, biological and psychological perspective is presented, as well as a social perspective dealing with family relationships, life course transitions, social support systems, work, retirement and living arrangements.  Issues of care such as caring for the frail older individual, health care, dying, death and grief are also covered.

351  Health and Long-Term Care Financing for Seniors

CASL® national exams are given throughout the year at local testing centers by The American College.  Exam fees will apply.
